See oukra at work

Short films, each played by the product itself, show you what you can do: shape a product, run a board, keep a demo on track, replan on the Gantt chart and start your day with what matters.

01

Shape work like your code base

Give every app or service you build its own product. Put its features inside, and the tasks and bugs that deliver them beneath. Add work under any item, and see at a glance how far each feature, product and plan has come.

  1. 1Open a feature inside its product.
  2. 2Add a task beneath it and press Enter.
  3. 3Add the next one the same way.
  4. 4Completing a task updates every level above it.

02

Kanban and scrum boards

Run your team on the board that suits it: kanban columns with limits on work in progress, or sprints with a start, an end and a burndown. Move a card to move its status, watch the burndown follow, and plan the next sprint while this one runs.

  1. 1Pick up a card that is ready.
  2. 2Drop it into Done.
  3. 3The column frees a slot for the next card.
  4. 4The sprint's burndown updates at once.

03

Demos, deliveries and milestones

Promise a demo, a delivery or a milestone to a date, and see whether it is on track and, if not, why: blocked items, overdue work, open risks. Review the coming weeks before your stand-up without opening a single item, and clear what stands in the way while there is still time.

  1. 1The demo reads at risk, ahead of its date.
  2. 2The cause is named: one item is blocked.
  3. 3The team clears the blocker.
  4. 4The status follows the work; nobody has to update it.

04

Plans on a Gantt chart

See the plan to scale on a Gantt chart: a bar from each item's start to its due date, each team's work in its own lane, today marked, an arrow for every dependency. Drag a bar to move its dates and draw a dependency from one bar to another, right where you read the plan: replanning takes seconds.

  1. 1Every item is a bar from its start to its due date.
  2. 2Drag a bar a week later; its arrow follows.
  3. 3Draw a dependency from one team's work to another's.
  4. 4The arrow stands at once: what waits on what.

05

Projects that report themselves

Open Projects and read every project's health, pace and the reasons behind them: overdue work, blocked items, open risks, time elapsed against work completed. Nobody writes a status report; you see trouble early, across every project at once, and act on it.

  1. 1The project reads at risk.
  2. 2The cause is on the row: two items overdue.
  3. 3The team completes the overdue work.
  4. 4The health follows, with no report to write.

06

Your day on the dashboard

Start your day on the dashboard: the reviews waiting on you and the work you are holding up come first, then your own items and their due dates, your cards on the boards, and what the workspace is about to reach. Work through the list and watch it clear.

  1. 1See your day: what waits on you, and your own work.
  2. 2Review the first item.
  3. 3The list clears as you work through it.

07

Live for everyone

Plan with your whole team at once, each on their own screen: when one of you moves a card, everyone sees it land at the same moment. Run a planning session, a stand-up or a review on the live board, and nobody asks who has the latest state.

  1. 1Grace moves a card on her screen.
  2. 2It lands on yours at the same moment.

Help, a click away

Support is inside the product, at the bottom of the sidebar. Open a ticket with your question and your files, and the people who build oukra answer.

  • Private

Seen by you, your organization's admins, whoever you mention and the people who run oukra. By nobody else.

  • With your files

Screenshots and logs go on the ticket, as files go on an item.

  • Told by mail

Every answer reaches you by mail, with the link back.
